Level IV Trauma Center
Level IV Trauma Center
We are proud to say that Brigham City Community Hospital has achieved designation as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Utah Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness. This designation recognizes our hospital’s efforts to better serve severely injured patients by significantly improving our trauma care.
To earn this recognition, the trauma team at Brigham City Community Hospital actively advocated for trauma system development, worked to improve the quality of trauma care, and the ability to deliver it quickly and efficiently. As a result, UDOH certified that our community hospital meets all standards of care relating to trauma treatment in Utah.
As a Level IV Trauma Center we provide initial evaluation, stabilization, and diagnostic services for people with severe injuries. Trauma-trained nurses and board-certified physicians are ready to treat those patients upon arrival to the emergency department. BCCH also delivers a variety of surgeries and critical care services for trauma patients as necessary.
Our hospital can also arrange for appropriate transfer to a higher-level trauma care facility when needed. An AirMed helicopter ambulance is available 24/7 just minutes away at Brigham City Community Hospital’s sister hospital, Ogden Regional Medical Center.
