Cardiac Rehabilitation and Recovery
Phase II:
This program is for patients who have recently experienced a cardiac episode or its symptoms. Events include: angina, myocardial infarction (heart attack), PTCA with or without a stent, bypass surgery, valve repair or replacement, heart transplant, and congestive heart failure.
Phase IV Maintenance & Wellness:
This is a long-term maintenance exercise program for patients having a history of cardiac problems but are considered low risk and cardiovascular stable.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Education Series:
These free classes are offered weekly to cardiac patients to educate and to help minimize the patient’s cardiac risk factors. Family members are welcome to attend these classes with the patient.
Classes include:
Basic anatomy and physiology
Nutrition
Risk factor modification
Cardiac medications
Stress reduction
Exercise
