Hospital Designated as Level IV Trauma Center

Brigham City Community Hospital (BCCH) has achieved designation as a Level IV Trauma Center by the Utah Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness. This designation recognizes the hospital’s efforts to better serve severely injured patients by significantly improving its trauma care.
“We are honored to earn this distinction, and feel that it truly demonstrates our ongoing commitment to provide the best possible medical care for the Box Elder Community,” said Susan Thompson, Emergency Department manager.
To earn this recognition, the trauma team at BCCH actively advocated for trauma system development, worked to improve the quality of trauma care, and the ability to deliver it quickly and efficiently. As a result, UDOH certified that this community hospital meets all standards of care relating to trauma treatment in Utah.
